The Promising Haircut

A senior of mine entered the room, baring his newly fresh cut hair.

Straight away I went

“髪切った”

“Did you cut your hair?”

“うん～”

“Um, yeah”

“失恋？”

“Heartbroken?”

“いや、明日の学会よ”

“No, just for the tomorrow presentation”

*Apparently, here, not only girls do the heartbroken-norm-new-image-thingy, the guys do too. Like seriously.

The others in the room kept on admiring his haircut, more to criticizing though. Then another senior walked in, talked to us a bit, and left.

“ マジ　気づかなかったの”

“ Really, he didn’t realize I cut my hair”

“おまえさあなんで女の子みたいこう言う事気づくんの？”

“Why do you sound like a girl who cries out for attention, such little thing?”

“pftttt….hahahhahhah…” , that was me, burst out laughing

“ほらあ、ニナも笑っちゃた ! ”

“ See, even Nina find it funny! ”
